Pieced, quilted, and bound.

Every stitch of this quilt was by hand.

It’s 54″ square and it’s the first quilt I’ve ever made. I intended to use a machine. It turns out, however, that sometimes people dump things on the sidewalk when they don’t work. Like the free sewing machine that I found.

I pieced and quilted the whole thing while I snuggled on the couch with my FishMan, while I watched trashy TV with the ‘rades, and while I enjoyed a quiet moment to myself. Wouldn’t have been possible on a noisy machine.

The next quilt is already in progress. I’m debating about how to orient the squares:

Oh, wow, that is dedication! I love the finished quilt, and I vote for the first of the options for the second quilt ^_^
